Introduction
Easdent Measure consists of a plate with a horizontal bar (1) connected to a Y shape fork (2A, 2B, 2C) and 2 arms (3A, 3B) at one side and a curved handle (4) slides along the edge of the horizontal bar (5) and 2 two end sticks (6A, 6B) on the other side.
The Y shape fork (2A, 2B, 2C) is used to measure the distance between retromolar pads and to determine the appropriate size of the Easdent Tray for the patient. The single line on the left prone (2A) is to be lined up with the center of the patient's right retromolar pad. The number of the line on the right prone (2B) matched by the center of the left retromolar pad from the patient indicates the size in width of the Easdent Tray for the patient. If the center of the retromolar pad lined in between two sizes. Pick the smaller size Easdent Tray. When the end of 2A and 2B are touching retromolar pads, the touching location of maxillary central incisor edges, mandibular central incisor edges or incisor papilar on the 2C area can also give the size in length of the arch. Left side reading is for measuring using maxillary incisal edges. The right side of the reading is for measuring using mandibular incisal edges. The circle is for measuring using incisor papillar. The size of the length may not be the same as the size of the width. Alway pick the smaller size of the trays.

Y Shape Fork
The plate containing horizontal bar (1) connected to a Y shape fork (2A, 2B, 2C) and 2 arms (3A, 3B) is similar to the Fox Plane. It can help establish occlusal plan by aligning the maxillary teeth on Easdent Trays horizontally parallel to the inter-pupillary line and the ala-tragus lines (Champer’s Plane).
On the other side of the horizontal bar, there is a stick at each end (5, 6), and a movable handle (4) slide along the length of the horizontal bar. When patient’s jaws are in centric relationship and occlusal vertical dimension (OVD), the distance from the lower border of the septum of the nose to the lower border of the chin is equal to the distance from the outer canthus of the eye to the commissure of the lips (click here for reference articles).
